Inacronyms (pronounced Eye-Nackrow-Nims) are unique combinations of symbols and characters that take the form of traditional anacronyms. If you want to get technical, an acronym is a form of abbreviation for words usually consisting of the first letters of those words. For example, IRS is an acronym for Internal Revenue Service. Anacronyms are extentions of acronyms where variations of the letters are used as a type of mnemonic to represent a word or concept. In many cases mnemonics are formed from traditional acronyms and become used as commonplace words. Expanding on this logic, Inacronyms are letter and symbol combinations that represent various personal attributes. These personal attributes are themselves commonplace, but our representation of them is unique.
VIPA or Visual Interpersonal Advertising™ is our unique method for communicating pre-selected personal attributes to anyone within visual range of our products. Your personal attributes are communicated using an encoding system based on what we call Inacronyms. Inacronyms are a system for encoding personal attributes that can be "de-coded" using what we call our Universal Inacronym Key™ or InacroKey™.
APMP or Assumptive Personal Mate Profiling™ is the phenomenon that occurs when male or female singles prematurely eliminate a potential mate candidate based on assumptions. These assumptions can be based on simple personal appearance or often are misplaced prejudices reflected through personal appearances.
SPAA or Superficial Personal Attribute Anonimity™ is our term for the unique implementation of Inacronym VIPA™ technology. Through Inacronym VIPA™ you can communicate your personal attributes to anyone who has the InacroKey™ using faux secrecy. In other words, people who do not have the UIK™ see only the 6 sequences of Inacronym symbols, and cannot de-crypt them. In this way, you have secrecy for your VIPA. However, since the InacroKey™ is made public, this secrecy is as we say superficial.
How do I interpret someone's Inacronyms?
Interpreting someone's Inacronyms on their VIPA is as simple as obtaining the Universal Inacronym Key™ or InacroKey™ and matching the Inacronym symbol to the key.
The InacroKey™ or Universal Inacronym Key™ is our public key system for interpreting Inacronyms. The InacroKey™ is freely available on our website.
I want to be discreet about my information, is this right for me?
Yes, absolutely. Keeping your personal atributes discreet, yet available is why Jeff created Inacronyms and VIPA. SPAA is a benefit obtained through our Inacronym VIPA™ concept. Through SPAA your personal attributes remain discreet.
Can I use more than one VIPA shirt or product?
Yes, absolutely. In fact we encourage you to try at least 3 different Inacronym VIPAs™ to find that ones that work best for you. Jeff experimented with at least 8 different variations of his Inacronym VIPA™ before he found the ones that worked best for him. Different venues can require your Inacronym VIPA™ to change based on who is there, so you may need to have several different VIPAs depending on where you go.
Winky is our unique way of delivering your Inacronym VIPA™. Winky uses his body and heart to tell your story. Because he and you know the great story you have to tell to people, he winks at you. Hence, the name Winky.
How do I know I am looking at authentic Inacronym.com stuff?
Only authentic Inacronym.com products can use Winky and the Inacronym.com logos on your VIPA. This ensures that the InacroKey™ does not become diluted with incorrect keys.
Why am I required to supply my relationship, age, and kids status?
When Jeff started creating the very first Inacronyms, he realized there were several pieces of information about new people that he absolutely wanted to know. He organized these pieces of information in a column called "required" and other information in a column called "optional." Over time, Jeff decided that he would perform some research of his own among people to see if his required information components were the same as his. A consistent required component among the women that showed up in his research was age. A majority of the sample listed age as a required component while virtually the same percentage of guys reported kids status. So, Jeff decided to move age from his "optional" column to required. So, the answer is you are required to provide your age and kids status because these are things that other people will want to know about you. However, Jeff made the Inacronyms for age use simple math with Roman Numerals. This makes determining age less conspicuous and more fun; or at least Winky thinks so ;-).
Why are there 6 Inacronym information levels on Winky?
Well, it's kind of like that story about how space shuttle booster rockets are only as wide as railroad tracks because of roman carriages. Jeff started out with 3 required and 3 optional Inacronym descriptors and well, he just kept that concept on the products too. We require three pieces of information, but then allow you to pick three also. All is fair and symmetrical.
Can I select the same Inacronym for all my 3 optional information levels?
Well, yes. We do not programmatically prevent you from doing so. After all, this in and of itself can be a statement about how you feel about a particular attribute. However, you may be better served by using your 3 optional attributes to say as much about yourself as you can. Then again, we recommend you get several products with different optional attributes to see what Inacronym VIPA™ works best for you.
How are Inacronyms selected and created?
This is kind of like asking for the secret recipe for Bush® beans from Duke the dog. Well, not exactly. Jeff decided early on that Inacronyms were to be designed with 3 goals: 1) Eliminate false first impressions, 2) Generate conversations and 3) Not be too specific to make conversations from goal two short lived. Jeff has tried to keep all these goals in mind with the creation of each and every Inacronym. An additional, but unwritten guideline Jeff had for Inacronyms was to keep them unique. For example, being single optimally would not be S or Sgl if a more unique approach was available. Keeping Inacronyms easily readable, but cryptic enough to provide SPAA benefits is yet another goal that goes into the creation of Inacronyms.
How do I make a suggestion for a new Inacronym?
Many ideas are generated between Jeff and close friends when brainstorming for new Inacronyms. In the end Jeff has the final approval for All Inacronyms. If you have an idea for creating a new Inacronym and you want to share it with Jeff Click Here.
How do I know if someone is telling the truth on their Inacronym VIPA™?
We operate on the principal of the honor system with karma. This means that lying about your Inacronyms will eventually come back to bite you because people talk. If you lie to someone about your Inacronyms on your VIPA, then they will tell their friends and you will eventually "black ball" yourself. So, be honest about yourself for you and for other people. After all, the idea is to end false first impressions not create them.
Do I have to be single to use Inacronyms and Inacronym VIPA™?
No, absolutely not. In fact, Inacronyms were created to help Jeff meet new people and make friends. However, we have found that many people are using Inacronyms as a way to meet and get dates. The use of Inacronyms is only limited by your imagination. In short, Inacronyms are about making it easier to create relationships of any kind and express yourself.
You tell us. So far it has helped Jeff meet many new people so he is happy. He hopes that it will work for everyone. Tell us about your Inacronym story.
